In our travels, my wife, Kathy, and I have been fortunate to visit with some classmates along the way. Do you know who they are?

MILDRED ANDREWS FORD is as sweet as ever and even prettier than this picture reflects.

What a delight LAURIE SHUEY ANDERSEN is. A very positive lady despite health difficulties. She reflects the courage of this class.

MICHAELE AUSTIN KELLY and husband, Wayne, were kind enough to meet with us on short notice.

TERRY BOONE and JIM BROWN are seen here on Terry's dock at his Lake Home. Yes, of course, we had fun.

JILL WEBSTER REED had a good day the day we visited with her. Her husband, H.D., has been a wonderful caretaker. Jill recalled me from high school days.

BOBBY ALLISON and ERNIE, two of the nicest people on the planet. We barely missed them in Mississippi and were planning to meet in Ouray, Colorado the first week in June, but now that appears we cannot make happen. That makes all of us sad.  :-(

So, which of our classmates do you wish to spend time with? We will try to connect you IF you have lost contact. Send pictures.

Kathy and I also had the good fortune to have lunch with MARY HUSEMOLLER and BILL in Durango, CO this week. They are so much fun.

PHOTOBOMBED and we did not know it.

We will probably not go through Colorado this trip back to Washington State so it means we probably will not be able to connect with DENNY HUNTER or BOBBY ALLISON as we planned. Of course, we always miss DAN DANIEL who we use to visit with in Colorado Springs before he died.

Yesterday, Paula and I celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary.  We did nothing earthshaking, but just the pure pleasure of accomplishment made for a wonderful day of sharing with friends locally as well as family and friends around the country.  We have been in Charleston 28+ years, but had several stops along the way where we developed a lot of very close attachments.  Added to that joy of good friends is the joy of a strong and supportive family of our four kids and nine grands give us so much to celebrate. 

And the most amazing thing after 49 years is that we still want to be with each other as much as we did back then.  Amazing Grace & Love!

Carol Zorn is in Tennesee. Peggy Ware recently had heart valve replacement, Brenda Day is still in Artesia, as far as I know; I think Bob Gadberry is in Albuquerque and so on and so on. Please correct my memory and write or call your friends that have not heard from you in years.

Hi Robin,  Good to hear from you.  Thanks for thinking of us.  Things are going down hill.  The good news is that she says she talks to her folks everyday.  Even asked me if I had called Web to finalize the plans for our fishing trip.  As you know, Web and Joyce died in 1982 so if she is talking to them everyday I figure we have a direct line to Heaven.  She is kind of stuck in 1982 and I think that is because of the trauma of her folks death.  She was recently was in the hospital for a UTI and when then nurse came in with medications and asked the verifcation questions she got her birthday right.  She told the nurse her name was Jill Webster.  The nurse got a funny look and I said "maiden name".  Then the nurse asked if she knew what year it was and without hesitation she said 1982.  So I think we are stuck for now.  Since you were the minister for Tucker's wedding, did you know that when he turned 43 he and Rebecca had a daughter that according to the doctor's was never going to happen.  She is going to be tall like her maternal grandfather.  She started first grade last week.  Keep fighting for those farmers!  H.D.

TERRY BOONE asks "Why aren't more comments and conversation going on the website?" That is a good question and it has been asked by ROBIN LOSTETTER and more. It is because of these reasons, I think:

1. Many classmates do not have the curiosity or heartfelt desire to know "What ever happend to ........?"  [for that, we are truly sorry because we do want to know, including what is happening with you]

2. Many classmates do not think others want to hear their thoughts or happenings in their family.  [We really do want to know. You and your family are important to us]

3. Many classmates or their family members are suffering from some disease and are tied up with it.   [but we really do want to know so please, please tell us so we can offer our thoughts and prayers]

4. Even I have backed off of comments because few, if any, would respond. It was getting where 5 out of 6 comments posted were posted by me. I am one of the administrators. This is NOT a Jim White website, it is a website for graduates (and almost graduates) of Roswell High and Goddard High Schools.  [Please, if I throw out something about my life, as I will in the next few postings, that is to jog memories so you can post about your life, which we want to know about]

Now, please read future comments which will be forthcoming.

KAREN McCARTY FINK just remarried and is now KAREN McCARTY MESSINA (I hope I spelled the name correctly but she can correct me). Karen has probably dated John for two years. He is a nice guy, likes to dance and dearly loves Karen. They are having a lot of fun, except for the part when Karen had to sift through her life, house and furniture for the past 50-years and get rid of a lot to move in with John. Karen, I beg your forgiveness for stealing these photos. Please let us know what is going on.

Wow .... John really, really wanted Karen to say "I do."

After 29-years, LINDA HENRY CROWDER left beautiful Austin, Texas and returned to the "sunny slopes" of Ohio where her children and grandchildren live. Sorry, could not find a picture of our visit with Linda in Austin. Please update us, Linda.

Widower BOYCE McFARLAND married his sweet, Swedish, first wife, Annie. It was destiny. As a young Airman in the USAF in England, he met this Swedish blond bombshell. Their friends and family from back in the day in Sweden, loved their getting back together.

JILL WEBSTER REED is still struggling with dementia. She did remember me when I visited a few months ago. She is kind of locked in the the 1980's and back. Her husband, H.D., has been an amazing support during this journey. She loved you. How much? She drove from D/FW to Roswell early before a reunion in order to call on classmates who we had an address, but had not heard from. She loved this class that much. Please drop her a note at
