Hello friends. I just learned of Jim's passing. I can't stop crying. My heart is hurting. They were to be here Dec. 10th. I haven't gotten to talk to Kathy yet but I know she must be overwhelmed from every direction. They just celebrated their anniversary. I knew J since kindergarten. We grew up in the same East side neighborhood. We loved traveling down memory lane. I will miss you dear friend. I pray that the Lord will watch over Kathy.

WOW! and WOW! God bless Kathy in this tragic time. As Mary said, Jim was very much the glue that held this site together. He had just called me Monday afternoon at 4:32. I was unavailable and had to return his call. I did that at 12:40pm Tuesday but had to leave a message. Now I know why.

Lesson: Enjoy life today at it's fullest. Don't put off 'til tomorrow what you can do today. Stay in touch with family and friends. Bring people together! Jim did all of those things.

Rest in peace Jim. We all love you. I'll return your call when we meet again in Heaven.

PS.  I'm 100% in on the GoFundMe suggestion!

Like everyone else, I am shocked at the news of Jim's passing.  Our prayers go out to Kathy and all Jim's family.  Please let me know if I can help with anything.  Jim was the organizer of everything, and he will lbe sorely missed by us all.  As Pete said, we shouldn't leave off what we can do each day as we never know for sure  if we will have tomorrow.  Prayers for all.

Hi Friends. I just got off the phone with Jim White's wife Kathy. I told her I would let you all know that they will not have a funeral service for him. He will be cremated. Sometime in the Spring they will have a Memorial Celebration of Life at the VFW there in Washington where they have a lot of friends. They will do a small family gathering there at the winery this weekend. Lyndee got there yesterday. Kathy will fly to one of the kids house for Christmas then will return there to take care of many details. Bless her heart. She is so thankful for all of our years of love and friendship and so very thankful that God took him home quickly and he did not suffer. Blessings thru this Holiday Season and may your time with your families be special. ❤️

Forgive me for adding Kathy said they may not know for possibly up to 4 weeks if Jim had a heart attack or if it was a stroke as they send the bloodwork off. It's a New Mexico thing apparently.

I was just notified late today that Jim white has passed suddenly. I am so so sorry Kathy. It is such a shock. I just spoke with Jim last week talking about the 60th reunion next year. Many brainstorming ideas. Jim was a whirlwind of ideas once he got started!  I first met Jim when I was 14. He was so polite and a sweet person. He used to come over to our house on Sunday nights and watch Disney with us.   My heart goes out to Kathy and the whole White family. As some of you know, my spouse of 50 years passed suddenly of a brain bleed seven years ago. Then two years later a nice man moved into my neighborhood. Three years later we married. We had a good year before he developed sarcoma brain cancer. He suffered tremendously through the treatments until he fell at night and also went into a coma.  I didn't get to say goodbye to either of them but I know we will all be together in heaven.  As several have said earlier, no one knows when God will call us home. We all must be ready!  I'm praying for Kathy and family. I would certainly donate to a Gofund me.

Go Fund Me sounds like an excellent idea.   Rest in peace Jim.  We will miss you.

I am beyond flabbergasted! I never post but I do read most everyone else's posts.  I didn't really know Jim or Kathy not having gone to RHS, but knew some of those posting from North/Pueblo Jr High, then the Sr year at Goddard.  My thoughts & prayers go out to Kathy & the family of Jim & Kathy.  There are no words that can take the pain away, but they may provide a little comfort for such a terrible time in the family's lives.   Truly wish I had made the trip to Albuq for the get together the day after Thanksgiving but figured I wouldn't know anyone or be able to add to RHS memories.  My loss!   It will be strange to not read Jim's post with his wit & humor.  His knowledge of the daily lives of  those he would name off, the birthdays, their travels.  Kathy just know you & Jim are in my heart.
Sincerely Molly Orr Crockett

More sad news-

I got a text last night from Annie-Boyce McFarland's wife-that Boyce died yesterday from a blood clot  that stopped his heart.

This is so shocking, as I had been texting Boyce about Jim White's death.  Boyce was telling me he'd started radiation and chemo a few weeks ago, but he was feeling good and he seemed in good spirits.  He and Annie live in Aiken, South Carolina and have a cabin in the mountains of North Carolina where they spend a good part of the year.  I talked to Annie this morning and, of course, she's in shock but mentiioned they might havea memorial in North Carolina in the spring.

Please keep Boyce and Annie in your prayers.

Jim White gofundme.  I have learned if you search "godundme" then search "Jim White Roswell" you will find the correct place. When you click "Donate" please notice there is a sliding bar which you can slide to the left to reduce the "TIP"  for GoFundMe .com and all of your donation will go to Jim's family. Thanks

Thank you so much Bill for sending the GoFundMe page for Kathy as I know it is so appreciated. I got up this morning and that was my task to do. I was going to get AI to help me figure out how to do it so I was so glad to see that you had set it up. After I read everyone's messages this morning ....I continue to cry..

I had to laugh when one you wrote about Jim already in heaven setting up our next reunion when we all get there… So true......

it was so prophetic what Jim wrote last week about how we never know what tomorrow will bring and that we need to call our friends and family and classmates and check up on each other and be there for each other. That was so Jim.....Now he's on the other side, watching to make sure we do it💔❤️💔❤️💔❤️

Both Jim and Boyce passing is just about more than my heart can take. I'm so glad that Boyce and Annie (Boyce's first wife) were able to reconnect and remarry after Boyce's 2nd wife passed.

Thank you so much for setting up the go fund me sight.

An update on the GoFundMe site for Jim White Roswell 66 Generosity:

Thank you contributors and all others who will contribute in the future. Your contributions do not have to be public so please use the privacy setting if you wish. I made my initial contribution public so you would know I have skin in the game. I will not look for contribution identifiers.

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I may be the "Organizer" but I have no (0) visibility of when and how much of your contributions are transferred to the "Beneficiary" Lyndee White, Jim and Kathy's daughter, who will be close by Kathy for some time. I think my "no visibility" is a good safety measure set up by GoFundMe.

If you would, please, reach out to friends to help support Kathy.

Jim's parents and mine were good friends before he and I were born on the same day in St. Mary's, Roswell.  Jim and I were truly lifelong friends.  I am still eternally grateful to Jim for all he did to help us stay in touch with one another. I still have some of the news letters he prepared and mailed to us in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. Jim was a generous, caring, and thoughtful friend to all of us.

I've been thinking-and I find it somewhat ironic.

Boyce and his second wife were good friends with Jim and Cathy.  As she was dying of cancer, she told Boyce that she believed God wanted them to give their fifth wheel to Jim and Cathy .  After she died, Boyce  decided that in honor of her memory he would do just that.  This 5th wheel became Jim and Cathy's home for, I don't know, maybe the next 14 years.  As everyone knows, they traveled all over the country with it.  On October 23rd Jim sent me pictures of damage incurred by the 5th wheel and said it wasn't worth fixing.  It was just worn out and done. I was thinking to myself that this conclusion must have been somewhat traumatic for the Whites, as that was their home that  he's talking about. Then Cathy calls me and tells me Jim died on December 2nd and then Annie calls and tells me Boyce dies on December 5th.  The 5th wheel "dies" and a few weeks later the two other main characters in this story are dead as well. Maybe my imagination has gotten the best of me, but I still find this situation be be very Ironic.

(An explanation for what may appear to be confusing.  Boyce was in Sweden where he met a blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl named Annie.  They married and I believe they had a boy and a girl.  They eventually got divorced.  Boyce married his second wife.  After she died, his kids suggested he contacted his ex-their mother.  They fell in love all over again and re-married.  Therefore, Annie was his first and his third wife)
