Ronald Dee Hay was born to Lloyd Dee (LD) and Berniece Hay April 23, 1948 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He passed away peacefully at home in Tulsa, January 21, 2018. Ron was raised in Roswell, New Mexico, where he graduated from Roswell High School, then continued his education at Eastern New Mexico University receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree. Ron married his soul mate, Sue Edmison Hay, in 1972. He felt God's call to ministry when he was 18 and then followed that call to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he graduated in 1975 with a Master of Divinity degree. Ron served Southern Baptist Churches in New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma. He was a social worker and a children's home house parent with Sue in Texas and Oklahoma. With deep convictions, Ron and Sue changed to the United Methodist Church where Ron served as Pastor in Prattville, Sand Springs, Inola, and Muldrow, OK. Ron and Sue were blessed with the adoption of their children, Michael Winnen Hay and Trena. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Sue and their grandson, Ralen White; his sister, Andrea Willard of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a niece and two nephews; Mike and Diana Hay of Albuquerque, New Mexico; granddaughters, April and Nita; Trena; granddaughter, Sage; brother-in-law, Ray Edmison and numerous great grandchildren. Ron was a great man of faith and shared his love of God with everyone he came in contact with. He loved visiting with his church families! He also used his many health afflictions to encourage others in their walk with God. He was known for his sense of humor and enjoyed telling stories. He believed that God was supreme but also had a sense of humor. Being born in Klamath Falls, it was only fitting that his transplanted kidney (1988) also came from Klamath Falls, Oregon! One of his favorite choruses was "God is good, all the time." He loved singing the song, "Victory in Jesus!" with vim, vigor and vitality! He was also known for talking of God's "poofy dust" in his sermons. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Faith United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens on Thursday, January 25, 2018. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at Faith United Methodist Church in Tulsa beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Ron was my Best Man when Brenda and I married. I had not seen Ron in years, but did keep up thru Christmas cards each year. One more name that was also at Calvary is Bill Damron.

I have many fond memories of Ronnie during high school. They are centered around all the activities we all shared at church. He always had a smile and a positive attitude about life which so obviously came from his faith. So glad he had such a fulfilling life!
