Kenneth Sutton VIEW PROFILE

Kenneth Sutton (66) lost his heroic battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) on Nov. 29, 2013, at his home in Ruidoso. Ken was born in Roswell to John and Eula Sutton on July 1, 1947. [auth] He graduated from Goddard High School in 1966, and earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from Eastern New Mexico University in 1975. He was drafted into the Army in 1967. He worked in many occupations but his love was law enforcement. He also enjoyed restoring vintage cars, but his favorite pastime was playing with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mom and stepdad, Eula and Rex Sowders, and his dad John Sutton. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Glenda Sutton; their son Ferron Sutton, his wife Krista and their two children, Karli and Kaden; his mother-in-law Lora Cummins; his sisters, Pauline McCormick and Joanne Mathews, her husband Ray; his brother Grant Sutton and wife Margaret; his half-brothers Ernest Sutton and John Thomas Sutton; his nieces and nephews Kim Wisehart, her husband Shane, Amy McCormick and Guy Whiteley-Ross, Julie Ford, her husband Nate, Roger McCormick and his wife Jessica, Billy Sutton and his wife April, DeeAnn Switzer and her husband David, Bobby Sutton and Stacey Kelly, Tammi Mathews, and Ryan Mathews and his wife Tammy, and Jerrod Higgins and Melissa Bell; his great-nieces and nephews Rachel Ford, Hannah Ford, Rebecca Ford, Jackson Ford, Wyatt Sutton, Titus Sutton, Kody McCormick, Braelyn Mc-Cormick, Hailey Sutton, Nicole Switzer; and many cousins and friends.

We were blessed to have him in our family. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m., at Christ Church in the Downs being officiated by Al Lane. The address is 604 Harris Lane, Ruidoso Downs, NM. Oh Glenna, I am so sorry. Kenneth was very dear to all of us.  He had a great sense of humor. Please come to our big 50. Hugs, Margaret
