I retired in 2010 and have been doing some "bucket list" things (like taking cruises and my trip to Great Britain, Scotland and Ireland last year). Planning a west coast road trip in May and after that I will have traveled to, or through, all the US states.
I have really enjoyed reconnecting with former classmates and having the opportunity to stop and visit some of them when it coincides with my road trips.
It was quite an experience at the 50th reunion to see some old friends and spend time with old classmates.
Alexandra age 25
Samantha age 19
Should have graduated in 1966 from RHS but had to drop out. All school years were spent in Roswell though (Missouri Ave and South Jr. High).

I'm so saddened hearing about Jim's passing. We were classmates through school starting at Missouri Avenue School. The fondest memory of him was when our class was all invited to hunt Easter eggs on year (3rd or 4th grade) at his house across the street. What a great time we all had! He was always so nice to everyone and he will be missed by all who knew him. Thoughts and prayers for his family at this time.
Happy birthday! Wish I was there to share some birthday cake with you and Bob! Hope you are having a spectacular day!
Happy birthday!
I remember Glenda from our years at Missouri Avenue. She was always so nice and I cant remember anyone that didn’t like her. It’s kind of sad how we all grew apart when we started junior high and high school as we met so many others and let our old friends drift away. I’m sure she stayed the sweet and lovely person she was and she will be missed by all who knew her.
The world is a little less shiny without Margaret. She was such a bright sunshiny personality and when she was nearby, her presence was definitely felt. I feel so blessed to have been considered her friend. We had so many wonderful good times together whether we were cruising or just visiting each other.
Her memory was remarkable! We’d get out our annuals and she’d go person by person and tell me a little history (past and present) about nearly everybody. How she remembered all that just amazed me.
The last several months of her life were very trying for her and she was so ready to go to her Glory Land to spend eternity with her Lord. She has such an unshakable faith.
Her passing has left such a hole in our lives. Our husbands had become friends and their absence will always be felt.
I loved her dearly and am so proud to have been included in her life and considered her friend.
Margaret came back into my life in 2012 and made my life so much richer. Her friendship meant the world to me and I couldn’t ask for a better or truer friend. Her faith and gentle nature were amazing and I am so very thankful for the years I have been graced with as her friend. We had some wonderful times together on our cruises and also when we visited with each other in Carlsbad or here in Texas. I will miss her greatly.
