Hi.  I need some help (detective work on your part).  I have come into possession of some pictures and yearbooks that belonged to the family of Carolyn Dedmon, who graduated from Roswell High in 1965.  I believe she attended the Church of Christ.  Her older sister was Patricia Dedmon.  If anyone knows her or someone who does, please have them contact me.  I would prefer to send them the books/pix, rather than toss them in the trash.  THANKS!

Bill, have we told you lately what a treasure you are?  You are a fount of information and if you don't know, you can find out!  For those of us with limited knowledge of computers, websites, and how to keep them running, YOU ARE THE MAN!!  Thanks so much for all you do to keep this mass of cats herded up!   heart kiss  wink

P.S.  Would you get rid of my middle name?  I feel like I've been bad and my mother is calling me!

07/31/20 12:45 PM #549

Patricia Jo "Pat" Bush (Hodges)

Yes. That's Carolyn.  I left a message and texted two numbers (812) area code that my son tracked for me but got no response.  I would be cautious about responding to an unknown person/number, so maybe she is too.  (If she still has that number.)  Thanks for your help.

COVID IS REAL: With deep sadness we report that WALLY REYNOLDS lost his wife of 53-years, Carolina Reynolds, died yesterday, July 30th. When one classmate grieves, we all grieve. Wally, know that those that knew you at GHS (and RHS) are truly sorry for your loss.

In short, both Wally and Carolina tested positive for Covid-19. Wally was really sick for 5-6 days then recovered; Carolina had to be hospitalized then was intubated for the last 14-days before passing. As Wally said, "Carolina got her wings July 30th, she is on the side of God now." Again, Wally, all of us are so sorry for your loss. We are thrilled Carolina had such a loyal, caring and loving husband. You set an example for the rest of us.

Carolina Jasso Reynolds passed away unexpectedly at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center on July 30, 2020 in Vancouver Washington at the age of 74.

Carolina is survived by her husband Walton (Wally) T Reynolds, three daughters and two sons, Carol Erwin, Crystal and Travis Kane), Wally Reynolds II (Stacy Marsh), Cynthia Reynolds and Austin Lundy-Reynolds (Devan Utt); seven grandchildren - Maria (Ian Gaussoin) and Jorja Erwin, Boston (Nadia) and Brooklyn Bate, Alysa Marsh, Carmen Reynolds and Sylas Wilcox.  She is also survived by two brothers Pedro Jasso (Lydia) and Jose Jasso (Marla) and two sisters Emma Rodriguez (Ralph) and Maria Jasso along with extended family including John, Carrie and Maraya Bate and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son William (Billy) Joseph Reynolds, her grandmother Rita De La Garza Martinez, her parents Roberto T and Emma Martinez Jasso, her sister Isabel Vaquera and brother Roberto Jasso.

Carolina was born December 21, 1945 to Roberto T and Emma Martinez Jasso in Reynosa, Tamaulipas Mexico.  She entered the United States crossing the bridge in Hidalgo TX, receiving her US Citizenship on October 21, 1954 at 8 years old.  She and her family worked farms between McAllen Texas and Ontario Oregon as migrant workers helping to support each other.  They settled in Twin Falls Idaho.  She met her husband, Wally in the spring of 1967 and they married on August 8 of the same year (which happens to be Wally's birthday and she did so he would never forget).  They began their family in Twin Falls and then relocated to Ridgefield Washington where they raised their children and experienced many memories together as a family.

Carolina was a loving wife, mother and grandmother all the while being a feisty, passionate woman about the people she loved and what she believed in.  She was a proud woman and had her own way with words.  She was a tenacious soul, with a whole lot of sass, the strength of a warrior and a heart full of love.  She was a proud member of the Local 335 Laborers Union, Vancouver WA and instilled the value of hard work with her children, grandchildren and many others she had connected with over her lifetime.  She pushed her family to strive for better, always finding the lesson or blessing in a situation.

Rosary Services will be held on Friday, August 7th at 6pm at Whites Mortuary - Chapel by the Park, 136 4th Ave E, Twin Falls, ID 83301

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 8th graveside services following at Sunset Memorial Park, 2296 Kimberly Rd, Twin Falls, ID 83301

The Family would like to thank all the staff at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center for their compassionate care.

WALLY REYNOLDS just added a few pictures of he and his wife, Carolina, who he lost this week. Going to his profile might help you know Wally and Carolina better. I will try to add a few here for him so all can see. If my comments appear crass, I apologize to Wally and others. My bad!

Your guess. "Hi there, little girl, ....

A. "...you are a TALL drink of water."

B. "...Is that a National Rodeo Finals buckle?"

C. "...do you come here often?"

D. "...does my striped shirt make me look thin?"

In every picture through the years, Carolina is smiling. What a wonderful, gracious lady.

WALLY: "Tell me honey, over the years raising children, adopted children and grandchildren, we dun good, didn't we."

CAROLINA: "We certainly did, Wally. All are responsible and loving and learned the examples we tried to set."

NOTE: use of Roswell vernacular

OHHHH-We are in trouble now as I just had a stray thought! Some commentrators say our current school curriculums (curriculi?) teach too much of this or too little of this. I remember we were taught to be someshat wishy washy and belligerent! How so? Remember the sports cheers"Lean to the left! Lean to the right! Stand up! Sit down! Fight! Fight! Fight!"   So that is my 2 cents worth!!
