
Larry Carroll Baldwin, age 67, passed away from a sudden illness on June 1, 2014, at the VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM. He [auth] was a U.S.A.F. Veteran. Larry is survived and mourned by his brother, James M. Baldwin and wife Tamara (living in Arkansas) and nephews, Spencer Baldwin and wife Danielle (of Ruidoso) and Jason Baldwin and his parents, Carroll Mae Baldwin and Marcus E. Baldwin, of Roswell. Larry is also survived by and missed by his Uncle, Raymond Elliot Carpenter and Ray’s wife, Loa Lee Stotts.

Larry did have a heart of gold. I recall the wild bird Larry nursed back to health. Even after the bird was release back to the wild, it would still come and feed out of his hand.
Larry suffered the worse loss of all - the death of a child. However, he lived long enough to see his daughter's murderer caught and sentenced ... and he and his daughter are now back together.
Thank you for your military service, Larry, and thank you for being in our lives.

Last week I was in Lubbock. I always watch KMAC, as the anchor man is Bryan Mudd, Mildred Andrew's son-in-law. I learned that the Suitcase Murderor, who murdered Larry's daughter and unborn grandchild was excuited. He not only murdered Summer Baldwin but butchered her, put her chopped body in a suitcase and dumped her. Just brought tears to my eyes as Larry told me how difficult that time was for him. M....

Larry was one of the brightest spots in my day. We had a couple of classes together and it was always his smile and wit that kept the mood light. I am sorry that he is no longer with us.

LIke others, I recall him being the nicest guy, always seeming to be in fine spirits. The loss of his daughter in such a gruesome way is tragic beyond words. RIP
