I was very sad to see the posting that Sammy had passed. I am glad to see he had a big life with many children and grandchildren and a wife of many years. I knew Sammy since Jr. High (East). Sammy was what you called a "guy's guy." He had fun and lots of laughter with the guys. He was a good friend to them. He loved hanging-out with them. You always saw him with the guys. I "think" he was very bashful when it came to being around the girls. If he was with a group of guys, you had to get along with all of his guy friends first....become one of them, and that made it easier for him. Still, he loved to laugh and did that a lot. I remember he and Dale Frost and Mike Shannon and Pat Solomen were great buddies. They seemed to hang out a lot in our East side neighborhood. Since I left school early, he was one of the ones that I sort of lost track of and didnt know where he went. I am glad to see he had a big family. Rest In Peace Sammy, I am sure you are missed by your friends and family.

I, too, always remember Sammy and almost always in the company of Pat and Gary Soleman, Mike Shannon and Dale Frost. He was quite a hunter as I recall. I never saw Sammy cause any trouble and we all had plenty of opportunities at the parties out on East College Blvd. I was pleased to learn that Sammy became a minister. May he rest in well deserved peace for all eternity.

Am thankful that Sammy knew and accepted the Lord as his Saviour!

The grave stone speaks volumes. To have this this kind of love from the beginning and then these words on your grave stone. Really shows love is with you. Support and a wholesomeness of a relationship forever. What a blessing. I remember him in his jeans. They were always like new. His Mom either starched them or he bought a lot of new jeans. I see him well at East Jr. High with the guys. Funny how clear it is. Those years were a time we all knew each other even if we didn’t. Just being in the environment was a transparency. We were all just kids in a grown up World. It seemed he was a little different from the rest of the guys he hung out with. I think he was shy. That must have been the difference. God rest your soul.
